Easy and fast enrollment
Ordering your prescription medications through Aetna Specialty Pharmacy is fast and easy.

  • Your doctor may fax your prescription to 1-866-FAX-ASRX (1 (866) 329-2779).
  • Or, you or your doctor may mail your prescription order to: Aetna Specialty Pharmacy, 503 Sunport Lane, Orlando, FL 32809. If you mail in your prescription, please send it along with a completed Patient Profile Form (PDF, 91 KB)
  • Your doctor may also call and speak to one of our registered pharmacists at 1 (866) 782-ASRX (1 (866) 782-2779) during our normal business hours of 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Medication refills
A week prior to your refill, an Aetna Specialty Pharmacy representative will call you to schedule your delivery. The representative will confirm that you are still taking your medication, that your doctor has not changed the dose, and that you are not experiencing any unmanageable side effects.

Customized shipping & delivery
Your medication will be delivered to your home, your doctor's office, or to any other location you choose. Aetna Specialty Pharmacy makes every effort to package your medication for easy use and handling, ensuring that it is preserved until you are ready to take it. Your shipment includes necessary supplies such as syringes, adhesive bandages, Sharps containers and alcohol swabs.

What to expect with your first order
Your first order should ship within 24 to 48 hours after you speak to an Aetna Specialty Pharmacy representative. The actual ship-date will depend on whether or not we need to contact your doctor about the prescription.

Your first order includes a welcome packet with forms you must sign and return. You will receive the following:

Welcome letter
This letter explains the forms in your welcome packet.

Form 1: Notice of privacy practices
This form tells you how medical information about you may be used and disclosed and how you can access it.

Form 2: Patient information and assignment agreement
This form tells you your rights and responsibilities. It includes an Assignment of Benefits Release form that you must sign and return. This signed form lets us submit claims to your medical or pharmacy benefits plan.

Form 3: Refill information sheet
We will call you to schedule your refills. This form tells you that we also offer an automated refill line. If you want, you can call toll-free to place your refill order.

Form 4: Out-of-area emergency preparedness plan notice
This form tells you how you can prepare for a disaster or unplanned event.

Form 5: Medicare supplier standards
This explains some Medicare standards that we adhere to.

Medicine packing slip
Every order includes a packing slip. It tells you what drugs and supplies are packaged in your order. Please call us right away if you find that your package is damaged or opened, and do not use the product. Check the package to make sure that all information applies t you (the patient). Please keep us updated with any changes in your medicine.
