Blood Glucose Monitor Program
You may be eligible to receive a free blood glucose monitoring system at no charge. This program applies to Aetna prescription drug plan members, but does not apply if you have Medicare.
Decisions about your care are the responsibility of you and your doctor. Talk to your doctor about which blood glucose monitoring system is right to help you manage your diabetes.
If you are eligible for a free meter, choose from the following:
With your complimentary meter, you will receive a starter supply of test strips. Ask your doctor for a prescription for additional test strips. You can use Aetna Rx Home Delivery to get up to a 90-day supply of your prescribed test strips, if approved by your doctor.

Stop Flu from Spreading
There are measures we all can take to protect against getting or spreading germs at home, school or work. These include:
Visit the CDC Preventing the Flu, Cover Your Cough, and Germ Stopper websites for more information and materials on prevention.
There are medications available now to prevent or reduce flu symptoms. If you are exposed to the flu or believe you are getting the flu, check with your doctor to see if any of these medications are right for you.
Heart Care for Life Program
An important advantage to prescription drug coverage from Aetna is our ability to use medical and pharmacy claims to identify members who are at risk for a particular condition. The Heart Care for Life and the Migraine Management Program are examples of this benefit in action.
When our claims data shows that you have a heart condition or suffer a heart attack, we may invite you to participate in the Heart Care for Life program. It helps you get the best care at the lowest out-of-pocket costs, and it encourages you to stick with your prescribed medication regimen.
Your invitation starts with a letter that explains the program and an educational brochure, provided in both English and Spanish, with tips and information on heart health and medications.
Migraine Management Program
When our claims data shows that you suffer from migraines, we may invite you to participate in the Migraine Management program. It helps migraine sufferers manage their condition and avoid the need for brain scans, emergency room visits and inpatient stays.
Your invitation starts with information that we send to you and your doctor about the program, including a migraine brochure and diary/action plan.
